Tacos y Masa is a sole-trader food business operated by Joel Larson, based on Waiheke Island, New Zealand. We provide handmade taco, tamale, and masa-based food services for private hire, events, pop-ups, and catering.

5. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation and refund terms are agreed on a per-event basis at the time of booking confirmation. These will be outlined clearly in any written agreement or booking confirmation we provide. In the absence of a specific agreement, the following general principles apply:
- Cancellations with more than 14 days' notice — deposit refunded at our discretion
- Cancellations with less than 14 days' notice — deposit may be forfeited
- Cancellations within 48 hours of an event — full payment may be required
We will always try to work reasonably with clients where circumstances are genuinely beyond their control.
6. Allergens and Dietary Requirements
While we take care with ingredients and can accommodate many dietary requirements, our food is prepared in an environment where common allergens including gluten, dairy, nuts, eggs, and shellfish may be present. We cannot guarantee a fully allergen-free environment.
If you or your guests have serious allergies or dietary requirements, please discuss these with us prior to booking. It is your responsibility to inform us of any relevant dietary needs.
7. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law, Tacos y Masa will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of this website or our services. Our liability in any circumstances is limited to the value of the services provided.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
